Patch Notes

This log is the player-facing patch history for Rewind 99 — not a paste of every Steam news post, a map of what actually changed how you clerk. For the save-wipe and branch split, go to Remix. For the calendar, stay on Updates Hub. Official text always wins if this summary and a Steam post disagree.

Remix 1.0 and Hotfix #1 (27 August 2026)

Remix is the load-bearing wall: new saves, performance, rebuilt staff, expanded map, co-op off live. Full clerking consequences live on the Remix update. Same-day UPDATE v1.0.00 — Hotfix #1 is the only numbered post-Remix patch found as of 29 August 2026:

  • Employees: no restock-from-storage; hire tasks pick up immediately; stuck unload orders; auto rewind stations.
  • Checkout 5 seconds → 2 seconds per item; queue alignment; customers can share a busy shelf.
  • Save/load: office collectibles and fixture pickup.
  • Interaction prompts and nearby-object select.
  • “Co-op is offline” as a proper popup instead of a stuck overlay.
  • Start-menu click SFX; HUD clock and OPEN/CLOSED sign translation; Dribbles hidden-creature animation; main-menu character no longer movable.

No Hotfix #2 had posted on Steam news through 29 August. If you want a quieter install, wait — the studio warned the Remix drop followed an all-nighter.

Next Fest demo (February 2026)

The Demo Disc (app 4349450) got a “60% more gameplay” pass before Steam Next Fest. That patch is why veterans shout the same tips:

  • Rewind Station reliability, including co-op: mirror, rewind, and cosmetics vendor no longer breaking for the whole lobby after one use.
  • F5 rebound from an accidental debug toggle into a quicksave.
  • Employee returns task actually functioning.
  • Quick-use bar surviving character customization.
  • Volume settings applying on the title screen.
  • Customers paying with $50 bills (sorry).
  • Pickup detection, footstep audio, tutorial copy, key-hint UI, read-only bindings list.
  • Discord button pointing at the real server.
  • Map texture blur, claw audio respecting sliders, customers stuck outside after late-rental talks, “Sweeten the Deal” items leaking into returns.

If your muscle memory includes F5, thank this patch. The controls page assumes it.

Update 0.9.32 (mid-March 2026)

A stability pass aimed at staff and stations:

  • Employees load and unload Tier 2 rewind machines, and unload even with no tape in hand.
  • Mixed Movies stopped landing on the wrong genre as a coded bug.
  • Max-level players receiving zero customer activations got a fix.
  • Store Manager refreshes when you author a Mixed Movie.
  • Lobby join/leave no longer shows a raw INVALID string.
  • Standard number keys work at checkout for credit cards.
  • Sudoku recovery more reliable for falling through the world.
  • Rare stuck disabled grid cells after moving objects.
  • Knockdown while using a station no longer sends the station to the hospital.
  • Clear messages when a hustle grid is reserved.
  • Sprint in Builder Mode.

That list is why the rewind, employees, and tier list pages mention 0.9.32 by name.

Day 30 (21 April 2026)

Official X: the Day 30 patch landed about a week late, with a short-term roadmap attached. Treat it as a progress note, not a co-op date.

Day 60 era and Pier 67

The studio’s Day 60 communication did two things at once: shipped Pier 67 so Reshoot Springs had a destination, and admitted the real work was still optimization and employee AI. The pier minigames are Whack-A-Gull, Balloon Darts, and 4-Lane Bowling Mini Golf, paying a Tickets currency for player and weapon cosmetics. 3 Card Poker arrived as the first extra casino game. The same content window added video game rentals (three consoles, no rewind). Multiple engineers, late-June optimization target that slipped, then Remix. If you only remember one sentence from that era: the developers agreed with the negative reviews about hitching and stockers.

Mustache hotfix (16 July 2026) is the kind of tiny note that proves they were still in the cosmetics weeds while the engine work continued: new clerks no longer spawn with the mustache equipped by default. It does not change how you stock Comedy.

How to read a new Steam post

When a patch drops:

  1. Search the text for save, beta, Legacy, co-op. Those words override everything else.
  2. Check rewind, checkout, and placement next. Those are the jobs.
  3. Only then read content candy (new pier, new hat, new hustle).
  4. Walk a single beginner loop before you expand.

Co-op friends should read the same post before anyone clicks Update. Mixed branches are the 2026 support nightmare. Links bookmarks the Steam news hub so you are not relying on a Discord screenshot.

This page will grow as numbered patches continue. Remix remains the load-bearing wall. Everything else is grout.
