Rewind 99 Collectibles Guide

Ninety-nine bits of 1999 junk — some on shelves, most behind a claw.

Rewind 99 wears the number in the title as a collectathon. The studio pitched 99 collectibles alongside lottery scratchers and full avatar cosmetics. This page is how the hunt actually works in Early Access: a display room that fills as you explore Reshoot Springs, a claw machine that hides a chunk of the set, and VIP “lines” that gate which prizes you are even allowed to chase. Watch the mid-article walkthrough for a visual of a filled room, then use the notes below so you do not bankrupt the shop for a plastic potato.

The room versus the claw

World collectibles sit in corners, on counters, and in the kind of places a clerk notices on a late-fee run. Pick them up, take them home, put them in the collection space. Creators who finished the set described a dedicated room that looks complete except for claw-machine pieces. Those prizes do not spawn on the sidewalk. You unlock the Claw Machine through a VIP member (100% loyalty) like any other hustle, place it on a reserved grid, and play it. The machine’s copy promises rare prizes and extra loyalty from customers who “just need one more try.” Full clerk loop: Claw Machine guide. See the tier list for where Claw sits versus Candy or Arcade.

Upgrading the claw is how you expand the prize table. The walkthrough creator noted you can start pulling collectibles from hustle level one through max, and that the next upgrade literally adds more toys. Budget refills like a snack order, not like a casino — the money guide is blunt about scratchers and claws eating payday.

VIP lines are the hidden checklist

Open the customer tab. Hustles run in columns. The claw has its own line of affiliated shoppers. Convert someone on that line into a member and the hardware appears in the Store Manager. That pattern repeats for Fight Club, Sloshy Bar, Pizza, Repo Man, and Mixing. If the claw is missing from the catalog, you are not underleveled — you have not finished that VIP. Discount shelves (high loyalty, lower spend) exist to finish those bars. Then go back to full price so the RentNet war still pays.

Do not treat collectibles as a day-one goal. The beginner guide wants four genres on the wall first. A display room with no rentals is a museum that owes rent.

Exploration crumbs

Town pickups live on the same outdoor loop as kiosks and late tapes. Probe ‘n’ Go’s night button, gas-station glow, and Pier 67 minigames (added in the Day 60 content beat) are the kind of places junk hides. The map lists those stops without pretending every potato has a public GPS pin — Early Access still moves spawns. If a video shows a prize in a bathroom or behind a counter, grab it when you see it; do not wait for a patch to “fix” a missable if the creator already warned the pickup can vanish until a later build.

Cosmetics (hair, faces, outfits at the mirror and vendor) are a parallel collection. Q/E cycles options. In co-op, serialize the mirror so you do not brick the vendor for the lobby — an old shared-station bug.

Display without wrecking pathing

Prizes want shelves too. Keep them off the rewind highway. Store layout is about customers first; the trophy wall can live in the basement you bought for Fight Club or along a dead wall. Employees will try to “help.” If a stocker files a collectible like a Comedy tape, take it back. Remix improved restock brains; it did not teach them museum curation. Read employees before you let NPCs into the trophy room.

When the room is almost full, the remaining holes are almost always claw upgrades or a hustle you have not unlocked. Check the customer column before you comb the same alley for the third night. The analog shop is still the job. The 99 toys are how Reshoot Springs rewards you for leaving the counter after the bin is empty.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How many collectibles are in Rewind 99?

The studio pitched 99. A chunk of them come from the Claw Machine after a VIP member unlocks it, not from sidewalk pickups.

Why is my collection room missing pieces?

Usually claw exclusives or a hustle line you have not converted to a member. Upgrade the machine and check the customer tab columns.

Should I hunt collectibles on day one?

No. Stock four genres and stabilize rewind first. The hunt is a town loop you run after payday is safe. See the beginner guide.

Do employees store collectibles correctly?

Do not count on it. Keep trophies off restock paths. Remix helped genre filing, not museum work.
