A mid-Early Access content drop added video game rentals to Rewind 99: three consoles, each with a library of games, stocked beside the VHS wall. Official notes were blunt on purpose — games behave like tapes but do not need rewind, they give a strong loyalty boost, and more SKUs were promised later. Why they exist
Tapes are the identity and the chore. Games are the shortcut: a VIP who likes a console will walk in without you feeding the rewind machine. Scooter and weapon racks shipped in the same QoL window: custom displays for bats and scooters in-store or in storage. That is merchandising, not a third genre. Keep bats near the door you actually leave through when you smash kiosks, not in the game bay.
Vendor pallets were raised to hold 50 items (from 10) in a later polish pass. Use that for cartridge overflow instead of dumping boxes in the truck alley. You can only sell items that have a valid price — the “sell junk for free money” hole closed. If a game SKU will not list, it is not priced yet; do not stand at checkout guessing.
The mid-article video is a day-one clerking session so you remember what the floor looked like before consoles existed. Watch it, then add one bay, not three.
