Rewind 99 Claw Machine Guide
S-tier glass on the shop floor. Prints change, loyalty, and the collectibles sidewalks never drop.
Claw Machine is the hustle you should buy first if the matching VIP is the one you actually converted. Official copy sells rare prizes and customers who “just need one more try.” The tier list parks it in S next to Candy: on-floor, early, and it prints while you stay at rewind. Pizza sends you across Reshoot Springs. Fight Club wants a basement. The claw stays in the shop. This page is the order of operations so you do not park a toy on the truck door, refill it with wage money, or hunt sidewalk junk that never drops from the glass.
Unlock
- Finish the beginner truck. Empty shelves do not convert VIPs. A membership grind on four empty racks is how clerks bounce payday.
- Open the customers tab. Hustles run in columns. The claw has its own line of affiliated shoppers. Push the matching VIP to 100% loyalty and convert them into a member. VIP memberships is the conversion loop. Stock their genre. Smash nearby RentNet kiosks so they walk into your door, not a streaming box. Discount a small bay if the bar stalls at 99%. 99% is still a tourist. The flag is binary.
- Hold a payday buffer. Hardware, employees, and prize refills all eat the register. One clerk on rewind plus you on the floor is enough until self-checkouts.
- Buy the Claw Machine from the Store Manager. If the listing is grey, you do not have the member flag. Repo Man, Candy, Fight Club, and pizza are different VIPs. One handshake does not unlock the claw.
Remix on 27 August 2026 required new save files. A hustle flag on a Legacy world does not follow you onto Remix. Convert the VIP again on the 1.0 clerk. Co-op is temporarily off the live Steam build for performance; use the Legacy beta for the June shop until the studio restores it. Mixed Remix/Legacy lobbies fail. Do not grind a member you are about to orphan. Remix.
Placement
Place the machine on the reserved grid. Patch 0.9.32 started yelling about this in English because clerks blocked the rewind highway and the truck door with toys. Believe the popup. A grey footprint is not a suggestion.
The store layout five zones still apply. Truck alley stays clear — every order dies if a claw sits on the unloading path. Rewind highway stays a straight shot from returns to the left bin to the genre wall. Checkout faces the door. The claw is furniture that wants a dead wall or a bay off the customer spine: close enough that shoppers see the glass, far enough that a crowd “one more try” does not jam the register. Do not dump it in the basement you bought for Fight Club. The point of S is that it works while you clerk.
Keep Q/E rotation honest. Ghost the footprint before you commit. Employees will path around it. If a stocker files a prize like a Comedy tape, take the prize back. Remix improved restock brains; it did not teach them arcade ethics. Keep trophies off restock routes. Leave the front lane empty so self-checkouts can extend it later — moving the machine twice is how Friday dies.
Collectibles vs cash
The claw prints three things, and clerks who treat it as a casino only see the first:
- Spare change from plays. Not a second register. Not payroll. Treat winnings like snack margin, not rent.
- Loyalty from customers who come back for another grab. That bump helps other membership bars if those regulars already like your shop. It does not replace stocking their genre.
- A chunk of the 99 collectibles that do not spawn on sidewalks. Creators who filled the display room described holes that only the machine fills. The collectibles hunt is why you upgrade the prize table instead of treating the claw like a slot.
World junk still lives on the outdoor loop with kiosks and late tapes. Pick those up on a RentNet walk. Do not comb the same alley for a toy that only drops inside the glass. When the room is almost full, the remaining holes are almost always claw upgrades or a hustle line you have not converted. Check the customer column before a third night in the same bathroom.
Pair cash sense with how to make money. Rentals, late fees, and snacks still pay the lights. The claw is the S-tier extra that does not send you across town like pizza and does not want a basement like Fight Club. Repo Man is time back. Mixing wants spare tapes. Rank those after the glass is down.
The mid-article video is a full-game collectibles longplay. Watch for the Store Manager click and the prize table, then skip when it becomes a loot stream. You already know the analog loop.
Upgrades and refills
Upgrading the hustle expands the prize table. Creators noted you can pull collectibles from hustle level one through max, and the next upgrade literally adds more toys. Rank S does not mean you skip the upgrade if you care about the 99-item room. Rank S also does not mean you dump payday into the hopper.
Refill it like a snack order. Never with wage money. Scratchers live in the same dopamine tray; they are never S and never payroll. If the register is yellow at night, skip the refill, smash a kiosk, or collect a late tape. Staff quit when payday bounces. A plastic potato does not rewind.
Self-checkouts (players often name store level 10) still beat half the toys as a desk upgrade. Buy the lane when it appears. The claw is the hustle you place while that lane exists, not instead of it. Pair extra rewind capacity so the bin does not overflow while you watch a grab.
On Legacy co-op, one player can babysit the claw while the host stays on rewind and checkout. Until co-op returns to live Remix, solo the machine between rushes. F5 before you empty a refill you cannot afford. Sudoku if someone falls through a new floor after you moved the grid.
When not to buy
Do not buy the Claw Machine if:
- The matching VIP is not a member. Grey listings are not a bug.
- The first truck is still in the alley. Walk getting started first.
- Payday is already thin. Hardware plus a refill is two hits to the register.
- You only wanted Fight Club clips. That is a C-tier second game. Convert the claw VIP first, then dig.
- You are about to orphan the save for Remix. Convert again after the new file.
Candy is the other S pick if that VIP flipped first. Take the member you have. Do not sit on cash waiting for a different handshake while the rewind bin overflows.
Pizza is a town toy. Repo Man walks late tapes. Mixing invents covers RentNet cannot have. None of those replace an on-floor claw that prints change, loyalty, and museum pieces while you stand still. Rank accordingly. Then go rewind. The analog shop is still the product. The glass box is the extra that actually belongs on day two.
