Rewind 99 left Early Access with Remix on 27 August 2026. It is still a living sim. This hub is the timeline, not a patch dump. Use it to answer three questions: which build are you on, will your save open, and is co-op on this branch. The deep dives are the Remix update, the roadmap, and the patch notes log.
Timeline that matters
- Next Fest / Demo Disc — February 2026 demo (app 4349450) with a 60% longer runtime, rewind and multiplayer fixes, F5 turned into a real quicksave.
- Early Access — March 2026 on Steam for Windows at $11.99, with a launch discount window. Director Richard posted the “clock in” note from the shop floor. After Remix, Steam’s introductory offer is −30% at $8.39 through 10 September 2026. No Remix hotfix had posted on Steam news as of 29 August 2026.
- 0.9.32 — employee rewind loading, Mixed Movie shelf fix, lobby messages, number keys at checkout, Sudoku unstuck, builder sprint.
- Video game rentals — three consoles, no rewind, loyalty bump. Video game rentals.
- Day 60 / Pier 67 — Whack-A-Gull, Balloon Darts, 4-Lane Bowling Mini Golf, Tickets, 3 Card Poker. Studio still said optimization and employee AI were the real fires.
- Mustache hotfix — July 2026. New clerks no longer spawn with the mustache on.
- Remix — 27 August 2026. Biggest technical pass: performance, rebuilt staff AI, QoL, expanded map, new save files required. Studio tweets branded it 1.0; Steam still lists Early Access metadata. Co-op is temporarily disabled on the live build (performance instability). Use Legacy (June-era build) for four-player nights until it returns.
The studio has said price will rise after Early Access and that community polls (Discord, Steam discussions) steer what lands next. A fuller content roadmap was promised around Remix. Until that post exists, the roadmap page is the clerk version. Treat Remix as a technical milestone, not the end of the analog shop.
How to not brick your week
- Read Remix before you click the beta dropdown.
- If you want co-op today, Legacy. If you want the new AI and frames, Remix, likely solo until they merge.
- F5 like it is a religion. Autosave habits were a review complaint for a reason.
- After any patch, walk rewind and employees once before you expand a basement.
